Opportunities for young researchers
In addition to providing venues for young OINDP researchers to network through several New Researcher Network events, including a lunch and a “show and tell” event,” and highlighting academic research throughout the meeting, DDL 2024 organizers made sure to inform delegates of additional opportunities, particularly the DDL Career Development Grant program.
Also, in the “Developing Inhalation Technology” session, the first talk focused not on technology, but on the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Aerosol Science. Five years after the program was first introduced to DDL delegates in 2019, Rachael Miles of the University of Bristol, who is the course manager for the program provided an update, reporting that 111 postgraduates have enrolled since 2019. In addition to explaining how the CDT works, she highlighted the large number of DDL sponsors who are partners in the doctoral program.
DDL 2025 will take place December 10-12, 2025 at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre.
