Exhibition
The RDD 2024 technology exhibition featured a significant number of new exhibitors, with a noticeable increase in companies from China exhibiting. Chinese companies represented in the exhibition included device and component manufacturers Anomatic, Hua Rui, WellBridge and Yirdoc; contract pharma organizations BONA Pharma, CF Pharmtech, and SZ Inhal; and inhalation toxicology company Huironghe, which was displaying its version of the Next Generation cascade impactor
Other new exhibitors included Spanish contract manufacturer Chemo; German packaging company Gaplast; Belgian powder characterization specialists Granutools; and Indian injection molding company Laxmi. Australia-based Inspiring, another new exhibitor showed off its collapsible silicon universal spacer, which is designed for use with MDIs, DPIs, and nebulizers.
Two of the British companies exhibiting had just been awarded the King’s Award for Enterprise: toxicology specialists Apconix and CRO M2M Pharmaceuticals, which was also launching a suite of new services for inhaled product testing and development, including amorphous content testing.
While Honeywell and Koura were promoting their new propellants at there tables, Dymel HFA 134a manufacturer SRF and Solkane HFA 227 maker Daikin also exhibited. Exhibitors offering services around LGWP propellants in addition to Bespak and Kindeva included OzUK, which announced installation of an LGWP manufacturing line in 2023, and mixing system experts Briggs. H&T Presspart, which offered a workshop on DPIs, also promoted its analytical and development services for LGWP propellant MDIs.
RDD Asia 2024 will take place November 19-21 in Kerala, India
