The program will also include presentation of the 2024 Charles G. Thiel Award and the VCU RDD Peter R. Byron Graduate Student Award; the usual Wednesday morning break for recreation; and networking opportunities. In addition to refreshment breaks and lunches during the day, cocktail receptions will take place each evening, and a dinner with dancing with follow the cocktail reception on the evening of May 8.
Although the podium presentations will not be live-streamed this year, recordings of talks will be made available on demand to registered delegates after the meeting until June 30. Many of the workshop presenters and poster authors will also record presentations that will be available to delegates on demand. An “on demand access only” registration is available for those unable to attend the meeting in person.

According to Dalby, demand for exhibition tables has been strong and only a few spaces remain available. Approximately one quarter of the companies showing off products and services at RDD 2024 will be first-time exhibitors. Many of those new exhibitors are Asian companies, which Dalby attributes to the globalization of the market and demand related to the LGWP transition. With a full technology exhibit in addition to a large poster exhibit, he says, the conference will be using all of the rooms available at the hotel provide sufficient space for browsing.
