US-based CDMO Renaissance Lakewood, which offers a wide range of services for nasal spray development and manufacturing, has announced a significant expansion of its laboratories in New Jersey, the company said. The expansion is part of a larger relocation and upgrade project initiated in 2021 and expected to be completed by early next year. According to Renaissance, the laboratory portion of the expansion includes tripling the size of its GMP QC spray lab to 4,000 sq ft.
The QC spray laboratory improvements also included equipment additions and replacements, the company says, with added equipment including several new SprayView systems, 5 new fume hoods, and 2 new vented enclosures. Renaissance said that in addition to the additional QC lab space and equipment, the company added storage space, including DEA storage. The company also relocated the analytical R&D area to allow for sharing GMP equipment with the QC lab, and the formulation R&D area was moved to a non-GMP area.
Renaissance Lakewood President and CEO Serge Maltais commented, “For more than 20 years, Renaissance Lakewood, LLC has been among the preeminent leaders in nasal experience and proven track record in sterile injectable dosage forms and the successful commercialization of these products for US and global markets.
