Broughton, a CRO that offers development and analysis of inhaled drugs, especially nicotine and cannabinoid products, has announced the establishment of a US subsidiary. Tony Jones, who has most recently been Senior Managing Health Scientist at consulting firm Cardno Chemrisk, was named Managing Consultant of the new business.
Jones commented, “I am delighted to be spearheading this exciting next stage of the development of Broughton in the US market. I’m looking forward to introducing the full lifecycle development services offered by the Broughton team to US clients across pharmaceuticals, nicotine and cannabinoids to help the company support their clients to accelerate innovation to market and improve health outcomes.”
The company also named analytical scientist Malcolm Saxton as Senior Consultant, Chemistry. Saxton was most recently Senior Manager of Method Development at Philip Morris International and previously Senior Manager of Advanced Analytical at British American Tobacco. Other appointments include Carol Beevers as Senior Consultant, Toxicology; Libby Clarke as Consultant, Toxicology; and Oliver Knight-West as Managing Consultant, Behavioral Sciences.
