ISAM also presented its annual awards to recognize scientific excellence and commitment to ISAM during the 2021 Congress. A key highlight to the 2021 ISAM awards was the creation of the ISAM Fellow designation, which recognizes achievements, commitment, and contributions to the Society, as well as outstanding contributions in the field of aerosols in medicine. Individuals who have been ISAM members for more than 10 years in a row are eligible to apply. A list of all of the 2021 award winners can be found on the ISAM website.

While working to meet the technical challenges of a virtual congress, ISAM completed an update to its web site, which can now be found at https://isam.org. With this upgrade, ISAM has succeeded in building a web site that promotes our scientific society and establishes a strong connection to our partner companies and sponsors.
“It was time to turn some of our attention to the ISAM website, says ISAM President Barbara Rothen-Rutishauser. “Over the past year, we were incredibly busy improving our virtual offers for members, congress and webinar participants. Our website team and the board have worked incredibly hard to create a modern, clean, and uncluttered website with improved functionality, clear navigation links, and a fantastic new member area that offers many different ways to interact. The new website reflects who ISAM is and provides a platform for ISAM to further develop.”
The new site includes a completely new interactive platform that enables members to connect and communicate with other members in network groups and to receive and exchange the latest news and data in aerosol medicine. A new publication platform is also available to all members and non-members to exchange publications, congress presentations, posters, and webinars on demand via the ISAM publication subpage.
ISAM’s new event platform enables the planning of live and virtual events, offers and event registration platform and is open to events that use the Zoom integration. ISAM also promotes events from partner companies and enables the export to calendars.

- Events page with an overview of all events and a list of upcoming events and our congress sub-pages
