Inhaler testing equipment company Copley Scientific is introducing a new nasal dose uniformity sampling apparatus (DUSA) interface plate designed to work with the company’s Vertus II/Plus shake and fire system for delivered dose uniformity testing of nasal products per Ph. Eur. 1 Chapter 0676 and USP Chapter <601>2. Earlier this year, the company announced the availability of a new nasal spray dose collector and nasal spray waste collector for DDU testing with the Vertus II/Plus system.
According to Copley, the new interface plate for the Vertus II/Plus system allows for automated testing with the nasal spray dose collector, the waste collector, and with a standard MDI DUSA. The shake and fire system can also be interfaced to a standard cascade impactor using either an Alberta Idealised Nasal Inlet or an expansion chamber for aerodynamic particle size distribution testing.
In addition to launching new nasal testing accessories, Copley has recently introduced an OINDP testing methods e-training service, updated a number of products in its OINDP testing range and launched its new Inhalytix software package for cascade impactor management and data analysis.
