Medical Developments International (MVP) has announced distribution deals for its compact anti-static space chambers in the US and for its Penthrox methoxyflurane inhaler in Russia.
All Walmart and Kmart pharmacies in the US will carry MVP spacers. In Russia, JSC Lancet will be the distributor for Penthrox in a deal that includes milestone payments of AUD $2.3 million.
All 4 of MVP’s compact anti-static spacer models will be sold at 2,100 Walmart stores initially, with at least 2 models sold at all of Walmart’s more than 4,600 pharmacies. At Kmart, 2 of the range will be sold at all of Kmart’s 1,000+ pharmacies.
MVP CEO John Sharman commented, “MVP has been working towards securing core ranging deals from a number of large USA pharmacy retail chains for more than a year. Having secured this Kmart deal and the Walmart deal previously announced, our focus is now firmly on getting deals done with the other large retail pharmacy chains across the USA. We are now selling our respiratory devices into more than 7,000 USA pharmacies.”
He added, “We have a world class respiratory device product range and we have a significant price advantage over competitor products in the USA. We are confident our USA business will deliver the expected sales growth in the months to come.”
Regarding the distribution deal for Penthrox in Russia, Sharman said, “This is an exciting deal for MVP. Russia has 143 million people and is a significant global market. We are delighted to announce Lancet as our partner for Russia and we believe they are the right group to ensure our success.”
