MDI component manufacturer Presspart has announced that it is now known as H&T Presspart to emphasize its status as a subsidiary of the Heitkamp & Thumann Group. The company said that it also plans to add manufacturing sites in Asia and the Americas in order to meet demand for MDI parts in those regions. Presspart already manufactures canisters and actuators in Marsberg, Germany; Blackburn, UK; and Tarragona, Spain.
Heitkamp & Thumann Group General Partner and CEO Christian Diemer said, “As in the past year, in 2016 we are also planning to make more than 40% of our company group investments in our fast-growing H&T Presspart companies. We are planning to make a significant part of this year’s H&T Presspart investments in developing competences in the area of metered dose inhalers (MDI), an application for the medical treatment of respiratory diseases.”
H&T Presspart says that it will also begin offering actuators with integrated dose counters. In 2014, Presspart announced a licensing agreement with 3M DDS to sell 3M’s dose counters.
