All levels of Scientists are needed in the Inhalation Department at Catalent Pharma Solutions’ Morrisville, NC facility.

Job Summary
Under general supervision, performs work that is varied and that may be somewhat difficult in character, but usually involves limited responsibility. Some evaluation, originality or ingenuity is required. Follows established protocols and work plans. May be assisted by laboratory technicians / assistants.
Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities
1. Perform activities of moderate complexity involving others.
2. Assist in the implementation of new technologies or approaches.
3. Occasional contact with customer technical personnel to effectively coordinate laboratory studies.
4. Writes summary reports with supervisory guidance. Can effectively coach or instruct technicians or lab associates on basic procedures.
5. Leads team activities as needed. Strives to involve all team members and encourages mutual support.
6. Identify personal opportunities for development consistent with business needs.
7. Develop solutions for basic technical problems.
8. Take personal responsibility to be honest and direct. \
9. Take the initiative to propose deviations from established procedures and methods based upon sound judgment.
10. Deliver on promises to meet customer expectations.
11. All other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
Master’s degree and 1+ years related experience; Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years related experience; or Associate’s degree and 5+ years related experience or equivalent education, experience, and training
Technical Skills:
– Experience with HPLC is required
– Experience with development and testing of aerosol products (especially metered dose inhalers) highly desirable
– Experience with Totalchrom acquisition software & systems highly desirable.
– Experience with Cascade Impaction Testing (ACI or NGI), dose content uniformity testing, laser diffraction, and spray pattern characterization desirable

– Prior experience with HPLC required.
– Prior experience with cGMP regulated environment required.
