The prize for the best poster presented at PowderFlow 2011 was awarded to Hanne Kinnunen, a PhD student in the Pharmaceutical Surface Science Research Group, Department of Pharmacy and Pharmacology at the University of Bath, for her poster titled, “The impact of loaded drug dose and the surface roughness of the coarse lactose carrier to the fluidisation characteristics of dry powder inhaler formulations.” Conference sponsor Freeman Technology also sponsored the £250 poster prize.
The meeting, which was organized by the Formulation Science & Technology Group of the Royal Society of Chemistry took place at the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) in London on December 6.
