Job Title: DPI Analytical Senior Scientist
Organization Unit: R&D – CMC – Strategic Product Enhancement
The client, a global multinational company headquartered in Italy, is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who would be interested in working as Analytical Senior Scientist in their DPI Analytical Unit.
Reporting to the Unit Head, you will be responsible for the development, optimization and validation of analytical methods to define the inhalation performance (Cascade Impactors, Emitted Dose, Homogeneity, Power, etc.) of DPI, pMDI and nebulized products.
You will be also responsible for the Study Management regarding the chemical and physical stability of inhalation products and the Management of the relationships with international teams, CRO and CMO.
You will also contribute to the improvement of the current Company’s know – how and new technologies scouting.
With a Degree in Chemistry or Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies and 8/10 years of experience, the right candidate has got good knowledge and skills in analytical techniques (chromatography, spectroscopy), organic chemistry (small & large molecules) and chemical and physical materials assessment (rheology, particle size).
Statistical Skills: base, DoE, PCA.
Pharmaceutical Skills: development of emulsions or suspensions and their performance, characterization of inhaled delivery systems.
Additional experience in pharmaceutical dosage forms for pulmonary delivery [i.e. Pressurized Metered Dose Inhalers (pMDI’s), dry powder inhalers (DPI), liquid-nebulizers (UDV)] could be relevant.
Teamworking and Networking skills: English language is a must, Italian is not mandatory.
